XTA-50 - tunable filter with adjustable bandwith

The XTA-50 tunable filter is the reference tool for channel selection or even sub-band extraction thanks to its adjustable bandwidth in combination with very steep edges:

• Standard version: 50 pm (6.25 GHz) to 950 pm (120 GHz) with 500 dB/nm
• Ultrafine version: 32 pm (4 GHz) to 650 pm (80 GHz) with 800 dB/nm
• Wide version: 50 pm (6.25 GHz) to 5000 pm (625 GHz) with 500 dB/nm

The extremely sharp edges ensure a clean cut between the signal and the adjacent channels or noise, while the flat-top square shape ensures data integrity. The filters offer the highest selectivity available on the market and allow for many new fiber-optic transmission experiments.

For efficient operation, it has a user-friendly touch screen interface with four menus:

• Wavelength and bandwidth selection
• Predefined ITU grids: 25, 50, 100 and 200 GHz
• Customer defined grid
• A sequence for systematic bit-error rate testing
