Please note, this webinar will be presented in German.

Each home, school, business or other type of customer has different requirements when it comes to upstream and downstream broadband speeds delivered over fiber—from basic to ultra-fast. To deliver the right speed to the right customer, service providers are deploying both next-generation (XG-PON, XGS-PON, 10G-EPON and NG-PON2) and legacy (GPON, EPON) passive optical local area networks (LAN) or POLs by overlaying multiple new wavelengths on existing fibers. This becomes challenging for field technicians, because for each stage of the network lifecycle—deployment, activation and troubleshooting—the correct tools and techniques can be different. This session examines the latest trends in PON technologies and techniques for deploying and maintaining these fiber optic networks as efficiently as possible.

This session will cover:

  • legacy and next-gen PON networks and the challenges they pose
  • how to make sure your methods and procedures meet deployment requirements
  • new quick and efficient troubleshooting techniques
  • best practices to ensure first-time-right deployments
