Designed for manufacturing 

FTBx-9160 switches deliver quality performance in a compact modular format. The 1xN models are MEMS-based while the 2x2 switches are latest generation opto-mechanical . Both 1xN and 2x2 are fast (<30 ms) and repeatable with an extended lifetime expectancy. This optical switch is designed for demanding manufacturing applications in a 24/7 operating cycle.  

Multiple configurations available 

  • SMF models: 1x2, 1x4, 1x8, 1x12, 1x16, 1x24, 1x32 and 2x2 configurations are supported 
  • MMF models: 1x2, 1x4, 1x8, 1x12, and 2x2 configurations are supported 
  • PMF models: 1x2, 1x4, 1x8, 1x12, and 2x2 configurations are supported 

Multiple lab and field platforms 

Designed to be used with EXFO’s platforms (LTB-2, LTB-8, LTB-12 or FTB-4 Pro), the FTBx-9160 can easily be remote-controlled by means of the standard LAN or GPIB interface using SPCI commands, IVI drivers or any other automation software.
