Gwenn Amice

Subject Matter Expert, Physical layer and monitoring, EXFO

Gwenn Amice currently holds the position of Subject Matter Expert, Physical layer and monitoring with EXFO inc, which he joined in 2001. His main responsibilities consist of giving technical seminars, trainings, support and technical advices to EXFO’s customers.

After 2 years in the French Navy, Mr. Amice began his professional career in 1994 as an optoelectronics developer with a French subsidiary of Italian-based Pirelli Cavi Group.

During 6 years at Pirelli Optical System (now part of CISCO group) he was heavily involved in the WDM technology development, acting as Product Engineer, and project manager for DWDM deployment in Europe, Americas and Asia.

He left Europe for Canada in 2000, where he joined the Network Engineering Department at Videotron Telecom before joining EXFO in 2001.

Mr. Amice holds a university degree in electrical engineering and industrial computing and he is a member of the FTTH councils Americas Technology Committee.
