FTBx-720D - LAN/WAN access OTDR

Purpose-built construction OTDRs for everyday field testing in any access network. With an intelligent Optical Link Mapper (iOLM) application for both singlemode and multimode testing, this is the most automated and intelligent troubleshooting tool for FTTA, LAN and data centers.

Description

The FTBx-720D is an OTDR that is best suited for most typical short and access networks. It can perform both singlemode and multimode testing.

The FTBx-720D is designed for fronthaul/backhaul applications (FTTA, DAS, RRH, small cells), Tier-2 certification in data centers, enterprise and access networks, PON characterization and more.

The FTBx-720D test module is hosted within EXFO’s compact modular platforms that can also be equipped with other testing capabilities such as Ethernet, CPRI or copper testing to provide a complete test solution for FTTA contractors.

Swap-Out connector

The new line of FTBx 700D OTDR modules comes with a Swap-Out connector which can easily be changed, as and when needed, without having to send the test module to a service center. This ensures optimal performance over time without undue maintenance costs and downtime. The OTDR's optical connector health can be checked with an onboard diagnostic tool to replace the connector only when necessary.

Your calibration date remains valid, even after swapping the connector. No need to calibrate your unit sooner than planned.
