Massive MIMO - mMIMO

What is massive MIMO (mMIMO)? mMIMO is an extension of multiple input, multiple output (MIMO), increasing the number of antennas to a 64-transmit/64-receive (64T64R MIMO) configuration. This results in mobile cell sites with higher throughput and improved efficiency. Massive MIMO is used in millimeter-wave frequencies, with rectangular antenna arrays in both the base station and the UE. To learn more, read our blog ‘RF and 5G new radio: top 5 questions answered’.
