TEST Talk 2: Demystifying 5G NR: challenges and solutions in over-the-air (OTA) testing

José Maria has worked as a telecommunications engineer for over 20 years with a deep focus on radio technologies covering both the physical layer of radio networks as well as the wireless protocol layer. For the last five years José has worked in the test & measurement industry as a field application engineer and RF and 5G product line manager, taking care of the pre-sales and post-sales technical support of customers in the European telecommunications industry.

José Maria ha trabajado como ingeniero en telecomunicaciones durante 20 años, especializándose en las tecnologías de radio, donde abarca tanto la capa física de las redes de radio como la capa del protocolo inalámbrico. En los últimos cinco años, José ha trabajado en el sector de pruebas y medición como ingeniero de aplicaciones de campo y gerente de línea de productos de RF y 5G, donde se encarga del soporte técnico preventa y posventa de los clientes en el sector europeo de las telecomunicaciones.

Danny currently holds the position of Product Line Manager for EXFO’s 5G Transport and RF division, with responsibility for supporting service providers worldwide throughout their network test and measurement activities. His area of expertise spans mobile fronthaul and backhaul technologies including CPRI/eCPRI, Cloud RAN, and Ethernet/IP. Danny has previously worked as a hardware engineer for Extenway Solutions. He also gathered technical insight as a support services representative for IBM. Danny received his bachelor degree in electrical engineering from École de Technologie Supérieure (ÉTS), Montreal, Canada.
