This webinar will present an overview of tower technology and tower investment trends, followed by a discussion of drone usage on cell towers and fiber testing. Three of the four major carriers now have processes in place to enable drones to inspect their tower top equipment, and the cost savings are significant.

Another cost-saving technology, fiber-to-the-antenna (FTTA), helps operators separate the base station from the antennas, reducing costs, zoning requirements, and power consumption. Explore the value of fiber fronthaul solutions and learn about the importance of optimization, FTTA, fronthaul and CPRI testing.

What you will learn:

  • What is massive MIMO? What is 4 x 2 MIMO?
  • Why is fiber testing more important than ever for cell towers?
  • How is the skill set needed by tower technicians changing?
  • How are drones used in the tower industry?
  • How will outdoor small cells place new demands on cell towers?

Who should attend?

Analysts who follow the wireless industry
Executives and marketing professionals from wireless equipment vendors
HR professionals who serve the wireless industry
