The promise of 5G - when bandwidth bottlenecks and RF interference hit hard

Joey Villamil began his telecommunications career in 1996 as an Associate Wireless Engineer with Ericsson, working on domestic projects. He later joined Siemens’ Wireless division, gaining international experience in Venezuela and Argentina. Joey then progressed through several engineering and management roles at telecommunications carriers, primarily T-Mobile, in the South Florida market, advancing from Senior RF Engineer to Senior Manager. He transitioned to management, overseeing the services division for tower and in-building installations, before moving into sales at 3Z Telecom. After 3Z’s acquisition, he continued his career in sales, spending a decade with the company. Joey graduated from Florida Institute of Technology with a degree in Electrical Engineering in 1995.
