Outlook on Pipeline's Innovation Award ceremony

EXFO had the honor of being a finalist for a Pipeline's Innovation Award this year in the Best Deployment category. These awards aim to reward the most innovative communications technologies and companies in the industry. Pipeline’s Innovation Awards are judged by an esteemed panel of key executives from top service providers such as AT&T, British Telecom, Yota, TELUS and Cox Communications, as well as influential analysts and select members of Pipeline’s editorial team.

The award ceremony took place on Monday, May 13, 2013, in Beaulieu-sur-Mer, and was held in association with the TM Forum Management World 2013 Conference and Expo that took place from May 13 to 16. This award ceremony was highly praised by all attendees, and the event was an overall great success.

A few of the award winners included: Telefonica, the service provider winner in the Technical Innovation category; AT&T, the service provider winner in the Provider of the Year category; and Nokia Siemens Networks, the vendor winner in the Editor’s Choice category. Orga Systems, a German-based company, also grabbed attention by taking away the Vendor of the Year award, and was also runner-up in two other categories. EXFO was runner up in the Best Deployment category for its FTB-880 NetBlazer, earning a wonderful glass award. In the picture above, you can see that I accepted the award from Pipeline’s Publisher Paula Zimmerman on behalf of EXFO.

Overall, this ceremony was a great occasion to network with key people in the industry, and get a glimpse of what is going on in different markets.
