The move to 400G

A once-in-a-generation transformation is underway as operators migrate their network infrastructure from 100G to 400G. Jumping from 100G to 400G is a necessity, but due to its complexity, it’s also a challenge. Available in three configurations (FTBx-88480, FTBx-88481 and FTBx-88482), the series is supported across EXFO’s portable and rackmount platforms for the ultimate in test flexibility. Modular by design, the FTBx-88480 Series includes the unique Optical Transceiver System (OTS) and 112G electrical lanes built to test today’s transceivers, while staying ready for tomorrow’s next-gen technologies.

Quick and accurate validation of pluggable transceivers (1G-400G)​

The iOptics automated intelligent test application provides a first-alert test, efficiently assessing the health of pluggable transceivers with minimal user configuration, both in lab settings and out in the field. iOptics supports a comprehensive range of pluggable transceivers and interface rates, including coherent optics (OSFP, QSFP-DD), QSFP28, QSFP+, SFP28, SFP+, SFP, AOC QSFP28 cables, DAC QSFP-DD, Bidi SFP+ and SFP.​

Digital coherent optics (DCO)

EXFO’s DCO test solutions present a best-practice methodology for managing coherent optical transport links across DCI, metro and core networks. The methodology includes test processes to validate both the coherent pluggable optics, as well as the point-to-point coherent links throughout a network. ​

DCO iOptics: validates the health and operation of coherent transceivers such as 400ZR and OpenZR+, making it the only validation test tool in the industry for coherent optics.​

DCO BERT: validates the health of coherent point-to-point links—including 100ZR, 400ZR, OpenZR+ (100ZR+ to 400ZR+)—helping to verify the performance of the physical infrastructure.
