The fiber-optic deployments geared toward current and future needs can often be challenging for operators, contractors and installers. And, with increased capability comes increased complexity in verifying the performance of these systems, which requires the use of advanced tools such as OTDRs.

Consider the level of complexity involved in analyzing multiple OTDR traces. Due to complicated settings and parameters, performing a complete fiber-link characterization with an OTDR can be challenging.
