Quality Assurance Specialist

Nova Reveal is EXFO’s next generation product for advanced network monitoring, specifically for 5G mobile networks. It features the ability to monitor network operations and troubleshoot network issues, using both real-time and historical network data.

We are looking for a QA Leader to join our new, dynamic team of talented professionals to create an innovative, industry-leading, big data and cloud-native application.

As part of the Blueprint Solution team, you will be responsible for the overall test strategy of that solution. As part of this strategy, you will have to define the scope and responsibilities of the different Development Squads including the relationship and responsibility of the customer solution team(s). You will have to define and secure the Strategy and execution of the different missions.

Your role will also be to “drive” within the dev teams the QA strategy to move towards the DevOps culture, in line with our Sw Driven Transformation, tasks such as (but not limited to) will have to be conducted

• Ensure Testing coherency in DevOps mode across the overall cycle
• Ensure proper means are put in place, including possible Partnership
• Ensure the virtuous cycle R&D / Customer is put in place in order to bring back in R&D the best field practices
• Define and follow the appropriate metrics ultimately resulting in a reduction of the defects and a better serviceability of our product
• Conduct the cultural shift and associated change management on QA
• Homogenizing the QA practices, methodologies, tooling…
• Help the dev managers to conduct the TDD shift in a coordinated manner

The ideal candidate is a senior Quality Assurance lead with 10+ years of experience.

Technical Skills

• Excellent knowledge of software development process and industry leading methodologies (Agile, Scaled Agile, SCRUM, TDD, ATDD, etc.)
• Excellent knowledge of testing methodologies for software applications and large-scale systems
• Excellent knowledge of development tools in a test environment (e.g. JIRA, Test Complete, Coded UI, etc.)
• Excellent in reporting and KPI follow-up
• Able to create complex solution testing strategy
• Knowledge of continuous improvement processes (e.g. LEAN...)
• Knowledge of telecommunications and/or analysis systems

Non-technical skills

• Experience in a multi-site, multi-project and matrix environment.
• Good leadership skills and the ability to mobilize and develop the people in the team
• Good communication skills both verbally to the team and to management, and in writing to present a vision and its associated plan
• Ability to create a climate of trust and manage conflicts, team player with all teams involved in the delivery and support of the product
• Change management
• Customer facing skills
• Customer, results, and quality oriented.

Must Haves

Relevant experience: 10+ years of Quality Assurance experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience

Language skills: Fluent in oral and written in English, French is a plus
