Product Specialist / Specialiste de produits


Quebec / Montreal

Reporting to the Solution Manager, the Product Specialist is an energetic and autonomous team member that supports product managers in technical and marketing activities. The Product Specialist also provide pre and post sales support to the sales team and directly to customers.  This support can be in the form of technical expertise, product training presentations, product demonstrations, or seminars; either remotely or on customer site.  The product specialist also participates in sales training events and trade shows and should be able to assist product managers in the definition of new products, and development of supporting product introduction and product marketing material.

This position requires occasional business traveling.

If necessary, the candidate may work on other related duties.

Technical requirements

  • Knowledge in Optical network architecture and technologies.

  • Familiarity with test applications and technologies (Optical, Datacom, FTTx, Wireless, Ethernet, etc.) and ideally working experience with test & measurement (T&M) tools and methods used in telecom networks.

Ability to present in front of small and larger audiences

The ability to create effective sales collateral to promote product advantages and value

Ability to perform in depth technical troubleshooting


Academic and Professional Requirements

Education: Bachelor degree in a related science or engineering discipline

Pertinent experience: Minimum 2 years of technical experience in networking

                Related experience in dealing with customers



Any other combination of experience/studies will be considered.
