Position Summary:

As a Performance IT Technician, you will be responsible for proposing solutions to improve desktop performance. This may include configurations in existing tools, evaluation of other more efficient tools, recommendations on the hardware needed for certain profiles or any idea that could help productivity. In the medium term, EXFO wants to acquire a tool to monitor the performance of its workstations. This would help us to automate the replacement of the park according to the real needs. EXFO is a high-tech company with major challenges. Our staff must be ready to take on complex challenges. This sometimes means working in teams with other sites to solve complex problems involving multiple systems. You will also have to train a team of technicians on your techniques and recommendations.

Your role:

• Configure tools to improve performance while maintaining a high level of security
• Recommend hardware solutions for different employee profiles
• Find solutions to automate the implementation of performance improvement recommendations

What we are looking for

Technical Skills: 

• Knowledge of Microsoft Defender
• Knowledge of CyberArk EPM would be an asset
• Knowledge of asset management tools such as InTune, SCCM or others
• Knowledge of development tools such as Visual Studio and others
• Good knowledge of computer hardware
•  

Required skills:

• Computer experience in a hardware and software development environment
• Experience in managing the performance of a workstation fleet
• Customer service oriented.
• Autonomous and motivated.

 
Requirements
Relevant experience : 3 years in a software development environment
Language requirement: Bilingual (French and English)
Education: minimum ofAEC or DEC in IT
