Wim te Niet

Vice-président des ventes (Europe, Moyen-Orient et Afrique)

Willem (Wim) Jan te Niet a été nommé vice-président des ventes (Europe, Moyen-Orient et Afrique) en août 2016. Il est responsable de la gestion des ventes directes et indirectes, en plus d’exécuter les stratégies de ventes pour l’Europe, le Moyen-Orient et l’Afrique.

Avant de se joindre à EXFO, Wim a fait partie des équipes dirigeantes de leaders internationaux tels que Citrix Systems, Equinix, Ericsson-LG et Nortel. Il amène une expertise considérable dans le domaine infonuagique, des réseaux et de l’analyse des données mobiles. M. te Niet cumule plus de 20 années d’expérience dans l’encadrement des équipes de vente et le déploiement de stratégies de développement commercial auprès des opérateurs câblés et mobiles.

Il est titulaire d’une maîtrise en administration des affaires de l’Université de Groningen.

Abdelkrim Benamar

Vice President of Service Assurance, Systems and Services Division

Abdelkrim Benamar was appointed EXFO’s Vice President of Service Assurance, Systems and Services Division in May 2018, following the Astellia acquisition. In this role, Mr. Benamar is responsible for the overall product and services portfolio for monitoring and analytics. He brings over 25 years of experience in the telecom industry with proven leadership, business transformation and change management skills.

Before joining EXFO, Mr. Benamar successively held the positions of COO (July 2015) and CEO (June 2016) of Astellia. He previously held several executive roles at Alcatel-Lucent including Vice President EMEA, CEO Alcatel-Lucent International, and Vice President Global Head of Financial Analysis and Risk Assessment. He has also worked for leading telecom companies such as Ericsson Group (2000–2007), Motorola (1996–2000) and Alcatel Mobile Phones, in areas such as R&D, Communications & Public Affairs, and Strategy and Sales.

Mr. Benamar holds an engineering degree from Telecom SudParis (formerly known as Institut National des Télécommunications) and a PhD in electrical engineering from Université Paris-Sud.

Anssi Tauriainen

Director - Data Science & Advanced Use Cases

Anssi brings over 20 years of experience in the telecommunication industry. Prior to joining EXFO through the acquisition of his former company, Anssi was the Founder and CEO of Aito Technologies, a leading provider of customer experience analytics for mobile network operators (MNOs). Previous experience also include multiple positions at Nokia Networks, including Head of Business Management, Project Manager, R&D Engineer and SW Engineer. He holds a Master's Degree in Computing science, mathematics and telecommunications from University of Jyväskylä and is currently conducting a PhD in research in Communication technology in Helsinki University of Technology.

Frédéric Vergine

Market Segment Solutions Director - Service Assurance, Systems & Services Division

Frédéric Vergine was appointed EXFO’s Director of Market Segment Solutions - Service Assurance, Systems & Services Division in 2018. Mr. Vergine joined the research and development unit of France Telecom in 1992 and was in charge of optimization and monitoring solutions for mobile networks. In 2000, he co-founded Qositel and was Chairman of the company until 2002, when the company merged with Edixia Telecom Technologies to become Astellia. In 2003, he became Technical Director as well as General Manager and Member of the Board. In 2011, he led Astellia’s Products business unit. In 2017 he became EVP Strategic Customers Engagement, until EXFO’s acquisition of Astellia. Frédéric graduated from the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées (INSA) in Toulouse in 1989 and Ecole Supérieure d'Electricité (Supelec) in 1990.

Robin Osagie

Business Development Manager

Mr. Osagie has 20 years of experience in the service assurance and service fulfilment domains of the OSS industry. After leading both solution architecture and product management teams across the industry, Robin is now the Business Development Manager at EXFO within the Service Assurance division.

The move to 5G will radically transform networks and services, from core to edge:

  • Virtualized network cores, leveraging SDN, NFV and network slicing.
  • New radio technology enhancing both fixed wireless access and enhanced mobility.
  • Broader reach with more bandwidth, lower latency and higher availability.

Each of the above will help open the floodgates of service innovation. Together during this summit we will explore why and how having full E2E performance visibility will be key to a successful 5G transformation.
