Kader Khan, Director of Simulators Business Unit. at EXFO is responsible for the holistic business management of the EXFO Quality Assurer physical and virtual Simulation and Load Testing products, from identifying market trends to defining and launching products to test SBC, IMS, 4G, 5G, VoLTE, IoT and WebRTC.

Prior to this, he held various leadership positions in product management, business development, business management, R&D management and site management.

Kader has over 19 years of experience in the information communication sector, specializing in wireless technology. He has a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in computer science and has completed various technical and management certification courses.

Voice over LTE (VoLTE) service deployment is ultra-complex. As a result, deployment delays and network failures are commonplace. Single radio voice call continuity (SRVCC) and enhanced SRVCC (eSRVCC) services enable subscribers to enjoy VoLTE services seamlessly across 2G, 3G and LTE access networks, but add further complexity. 

An IP Multimedia subsystem (IMS) core network is the backbone responsible for delivering those complex services. So it is imperative to test an IMS network in both live and lab environments to ensure it delivers uncompromising performance.

In spite of the complexity involved, utilizing best practices when testing IMS networks and devices can avoid delays and network failures, and is the focus of EXFO’s upcoming webinar.
