EXFO will be launching an advanced testing solution for 400G technologies and demonstrating interoperability between that solution and the Xilinx® UltraScale™ FPGA VCU140 design platform at ECOC 2017.
QUEBEC CITY, CANADA, September 15, 2017 — EXFO Inc. (NASDAQ: EXFO, TSX: EXF), will be launching an advanced testing solution for 400G technologies and demonstrating interoperability between that solution and the Xilinx® UltraScale™ FPGA VCU140 design platform at ECOC 2017. In addition, EXFO will be featuring its latest OSA for use in live network testing.
To help network equipment manufacturers (NEMs) power their 400G transformation, EXFO is extending its high-speed multiservice portfolio and will be launching its new testing solution, the FTBx-88400NGE. Built to address complex technologies in the 400G ecosystem, it is designed for lab and manufacturing applications as well as field deployments.
EXFO’s new FTBx-5255 Optical Spectrum Analyzer (OSA) will also be showcased. Designed to meet the requirements of live-network testing, it enables the measurement of the optical signal-to-noise ratio (OSNR) of 100G/200G/400G (Pol-Mux) signals without having to shut down networks or channels and interrupt service.
On Monday, September 18 at 3:15 p.m. in the Market Focus Theatre, François Robitaille, EXFO’s Senior Product Line Manager, Optical Business Unit, will deliver a speaking session entitled ‘In-service OSNR characterization of Pol-Mux signals subject to fiber non-linearity in coherent transmission systems’.
A demonstration will show interoperability between the Xilinx FPGA and EXFO’s new FTBx-88400NGE 400G advanced testing solution featured on the LTB-8 Rackmount Platform. Compliancy will be shown with; IEEE 802.3bs, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers’ (IEEE) standard for 400G Ethernet; as well as the Optical Interworking Forum’s (OIF) Flex Shim specification, the standard for FlexE (Flex Ethernet).
