He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and received his B.Sc. degree in Electronics & Communications Engineering from University of Technology, Baghdad, Iraq.

The need to support ultra-reliable low latency communication (uRLLC) and enhanced mobile broadband applications is driving new RAN operating models—ensuring 5G networks meet the demand for a variety of services with diverse performance requirements.

One of the core challenges operators face is to consistently deliver high quality of experience (QoE), particularly in a context of changing service portfolios and mixes triggered by IoT, 5G and the rise of broadband services such as streaming video.

In this webinar, we will explore:

  • 5G RAN: What is it and what new applications are driving its formation
  • Emerging fronthaul interfaces such as eCPRI and the need for new performance monitoring criteria
  • RAN functional split and its impact on deployment, testing, monitoring and troubleshooting
  • RAN virtualization and C-RAN: Optical network requirements, challenges and options
