Multifiber (MPO) connectors have been present in data centers for some time but their usage is also growing in the Telco and MSO worlds. Central offices and headends are being reconfigured as data centers where MPOs are becoming the connector of choice. We also see them being deployed in fiber-to-the-antenna (FTTA) and fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) applications.

Working with MPO-terminated cabling systems brings forth challenges for many technicians. This webinar highlights the consequences of damaged or dirty multifiber connectors and also delves into best practices for the handling, inspecting and cleaning of MPO connector endfaces.

Key takeaways:

  • Multifiber connector application
  • Impact of damaged or dirty MPO connectors
  • Best practices and new solutions for fiber optic connector inspection and cleaning
