EXFO was recognized by the judges of the annual Cabling Installation & Maintenance Innovators Awards program for its automated multifiber inspection solution.
QUEBEC CITY, CANADA, October 3, 2017 — EXFO Inc. (NASDAQ: EXFO, TSX: EXF), the network test, monitoring and analytics experts, was recognized by the judges of the annual Cabling Installation & Maintenance Innovators Awards program for its automated multifiber inspection solution. The judging panel consisted of cabling and communications system specifiers, designers, integrators and managers with vast professional experience.
EXFO was honored with a Silver Level award for its innovative solution designed to meet the high-speed, low-latency demands of a bandwidth-hungry world, where multifiber network infrastructures have become the new norm for data centers, service providers, webscale companies and network equipment manufacturers. It is critical that multifiber connectors be clean; however, they are often not adequately inspected—and sometimes not at all—because the process can be difficult, time-consuming or even impossible for technicians to access deeply recessed connectors in dense patch panels using manual, cumbersome, fiber inspection probes and manual multifiber inspection tips.
With the launch of EXFO’s long-reaching and slim FIPT-400-MF Automated Multifiber Connector Inspection Tip, technicians can now quickly inspect multifiber connectors in single- and dual-row (12/24 or 16/32), without missing fibers or dealing with the hassle of manipulating one or multiple scanning knobs, and while doing it right the first time.
