Chief Executive Officer
Philippe Morin was appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of EXFO in April 2017 and is responsible for the Corporation's strategy and financial directions, goals and results. He has more than 30 years of experience in the telecommunications industry and joined EXFO in November 2015 as Chief Operating Officer (COO) leading the company's global sales leadership, market development, and product strategy. Before joining EXFO, Philippe was Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Field Operations at Ciena. He previously held senior leadership roles at Nortel Networks, including President of Metro Ethernet Networks and Vice President and General Manager of Optical Networks. Philippe holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Université Laval in Quebec City, Canada, and a master's degree in business administration (MBA) from McGill University in Montreal, Canada.
Vice-President - Test & Measurement division
Stéphane Chabot first joined EXFO as a Product Line Manager in 1998 and was promoted to Product Line Manager – Network Service Provider Market in 2001. As Vice President, Test and Measurement, Stéphane is responsible for the Optical and Access and Platform product lines. Prior to this appointment, he was Director of EXFO's Optical Business Unit, a position he had held since 2006. In this role, Stéphane led the main team in its responsibility for developing the worldwide optical business and strategy, developing and maintaining the product family roadmap and vision, developing and controlling annual marketing, ensuring go-to-market plans, developing new markets, providing key market watch and competitive updates, analyzing product line performance and metrics, providing periodic benchmarking, and developing partnerships/OEMs/acquisitions within the product line family. Stéphane was highly successful as Director of the Optical Business Unit, doubling its annual revenues to more than $120 million and increasing EXFO's global share of the portable optical solutions market to 38 percent. His leadership has been instrumental in many key applications with global reach, such as fiber-to-the-home. Prior to his employment at EXFO, Stéphane was a telecommunications officer in the Canadian Armed Forces from 1992 to 1998. Stéphane holds a bachelor's degree in space science from the Royal Military College of Canada, and a diploma in business administration from Université Laval in Quebec City.
Product Line Manager
Guillaume Lavallée is a Product Line Manager at EXFO. Guillaume is responsible for the optical solutions in the Installation & Maintenance division. He holds an MBA and a university degree in Physics Engineering specialized in optics. Guillaume has over 12 years of experience in the telecom industry during which he has built a strong expertise in test and measurement best practices.
Subject Matter Expert
Gwenn Amice served in the French Navy before joining the Opto-electronic R&D telecom industry in 1995 aboard a startup that became the CISCO DWDM transport platform pillar.
As the development of new high-speed technologies evolved, he introduced new DWDM transport platforms in industrialization, production, customer demonstration and field deployment in Europe, Asia and Americas until he moved to Canada in 2000.
After a one-year experience as outside plant Engineer for Vidéotron in Montréal, he joined EXFO in 2001 as Subject Matter Expert, focusing on next generation optical networks and acting as a technical advisor to EXFO’s customers.
Since 2019 Gwenn Amice has been appointed Senior member of technical staff representing EXFO at industry standard events and interfacing with EXFO product development groups.
Mr. Amice holds a university degree in electrical engineering and industrial computing, and he is a member of the Broadband Forum Americas Technology Committee
Marie-Anne is in charge of marketing for all EXFO products related to Data Centers and FTTx Broadband Access. Prior to holding this position, she was in charge of all external communications globally, including media placements and public relations. She is greatly involved in Corporate Social Responsibility and social media communications activities as well as spokespeople training. She also participates in many industry events. Marie-Anne graduated from the University of South Alabama with a bachelor’s degree in communications and a master of business administration (MBA).
Research & Development Manager
Michel Leblanc graduated from Laval University in Canada with M.Sc. in Engineering Physics in 1991. He joined EXFO after his graduation and he was leading the development of EXFO’s first generation of OTDR. Over the years, Michel has taken several leadership positions within EXFO R&D: Manager of Reflectometry, Manager of Research, Manager of Systems Engineering. Michel has been active in different international Committees (ISO, TIA) for the standardisation of test procedures for structured cabling of inside and outside premises. In 2016, Michel joined the High-Speed Photonics Component division of CIENA, where he was Manager for Tests and Measurements.
In 2018, Michel returned to EXFO, leading the Technical Product Owner team and Optical Research team.
