EMEA Business Development Manager
Alfonso Domesi started his career in the telecommunications market in 1991 as a hardware and software development engineer. Over the years, he has tracked the evolution of transmission technologies, from the voice frequency analog modem to the current G.fast and optical fibers interfaces. He currently holds the position of EMEA Business Development Manager, with a dedicated focus on assessing new markets and technologies for EXFO’s Physical Layer product portfolio.
Technical Business Development Manager
David J. Rodgers is a seasoned Test and Measurement (T&M) professional with wide-ranging experience in serial communications protocol and interconnect validation, and a focus on Ethernet network and Fibre Channel fabric solutions where he has been defining, designing, deploying and marketing a broad range of high-speed serial analysis T&M products for SANs and LANs. David has 35+ years industry experience in bringing new computer technologies to market with a wide-ranging background in business, program management and product development of serial protocol T&M solutions. He is an original member of the USB Implementers Forum and one of the pioneer marketers of USB protocol analyzers. David represents EXFO for high-speed interconnect test technologies including Ethernet and Fibre Channel in various protocol industry groups such as IEEE, T10/T11 standards bodies, the Ethernet Alliance and the Fibre Channel Industry Association.
Jean-Marie Vilain brings to EXFO more than thirty years of extensive experience in optical transport networks, signal integrity testing and protocol network testing. His past experience also led him to work with major telecom accounts in Americas, EMEA and Asia, and to develop a deep expertise in technical marketing, competitive analysis and sales strategy. Jean-Marie Vilain holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from École de technologie supérieure de Montréal.
Aldo Gutierrez is Product Line Manager in Manufacturing Design and Research at EXFO. He has more than five years of experience in research and development in the field of optical communications. He has brought his expertise to around 20 international scientific conferences and has also collaborated in more than 15 peer-reviewed articles as author and coauthor. He holds a bachelor's and master's degree in electrical engineering from the National Autonomous University of Mexico and a PhD in physics from the University of Rennes 1. At EXFO, Aldo supports and launches tactical activities related to optical spectrum analyzers, tunable filters, BER testers, optical scopes and 400G transport & datacom solutions.
Senior Application Engineer
Jürgen Rummelsberger is based in Cologne, Germany and holds the position of Senior Application Engineer with EXFO, focusing on high speed transmission as its related to the company’s T&D portfolio. In this position, Jürgen covers technical sales support, delivers technical seminars and training as well as provides technical advice to EXFO’s customers. He holds a Dipl. Ing. degree in Telecommunication Engineering.

Country Manager ICT Germany - Computer Controls
Christian offers 20+ years of experience in the fields of RF/wireless, semiconductor electronics, active/passive optics and high-speed datacom. His expertise covers various market segments, such as communications, industrial wireless applications and transportation. During his many years in sales and business development, Christian has gained a lot of experience in direct channel business (B2B) especially with dedicated key account management and distribution. Christian holds a degree in Applied Physics and a PhD in RF Electronics.
Head of Business Unit ICT - Computer Controls
Samuel brings 10+ years of extensive experience in different engineering roles for network service providers in Switzerland. At Computer Controls, he is responsible for developing and expanding strategy of the ICT Business Unit and leads its implementation. Samuel’s first-rate understanding of customer applications in different vertical market segments such as PON-FTTH, data center, 5G and photonics enables him to develop customer-specific solutions. He focusses on improving quality and efficiency at all stages of service delivery. Samuel holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications Engineering and an MBA diploma.
Fausto GOMEZ-AGIS is a Product Specialist with EXFO since 2022. He provides technical expertise on the test and measurement (T&M) of fiber optics to customers. Fausto has prior experience as a researcher in optical instrumentation at the Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands and at the CNRS – Photon in France. In 2013, he joined Yenista Optics (now part of EXFO) as an Applications Engineer with focus on the development of innovative solutions leveraging tunable lasers and component testers. From 2018 to 2022, he moved on to Cailabs as an Instrumentation Engineer before joining EXFO again as Product Specialist. Fausto holds a PhD in optical communications from France’s École Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications.
