TravelHawk Pro provides graphical views that make it easy to pinpoint network flows, sessions and conversations because all the data is displayed in different tables where flows can be filtered, grouped or sorted. With the Diagnostics Suite, users can analyze individual IP flows and provide information such as the source and destination IP addresses, ports, protocols, locations, origins, throughput, amount of transferred data values, etc.
Users can also visualize information such as VLAN tags, Q-in-Q, MPLS, GTP TEIDs, as well as the flow data for tunneled IP connections, which are mainly used in mobile networks, like PS Core and LTE. The Diagnostics Suite provides GTP-C session information for LTE and Gn interfaces, such as call parameters, bearer information, call duration and message statistics.
The Diagnostics Suite also offers advanced QoS and key performance indicator (KPI) graphs including charts and diagrams showing per-individual statistics, traffic distribution and throughput, or aggregated flows and sessions. Administrators can easily monitor bandwidth usage for specific connections. As for QoS and service-level agreement (SLA) measurements, the most important QoS KPIs, such as throughput and jitter, are presented in graphs.
The Diagnostics Suite delivers accurate application analysis, enabling application identification and classification using key parameters. Application quality measurements are easily performed with pre-defined QoS analysis views, e.g., for subscriber QoE, top websites, web traffic QoS and audio/video analysis. As such, SIP sessions, RTP voice and mean opinion score (MOS) can be analyzed for every call.
As for IP application analysis, it supports over-the-top (OTT) application detection. Troubleshooting applications like Skype, YouTube or Facebook is now much easier with TravelHawk Pro. Over 1000 applications are detected with tens of metadata in each application.
Mobile Network Signaling Analysis
TravelHawk Pro brings together line-rate capturing and live-network LTE analysis capabilities. Millions of LTE sessions can be processed in an hour. LTE signaling is analyzed, deciphered and correlated over all LTE interfaces. Every LTE session is separated and illustrates all major parameters of the call across the LTE network. At a glance, you can see the session behavior from S1-MME interfaces (e.g., attach procedures) correlated with any issues in S6a (e.g., authentications) or S11 (e.g., PDP bearer modifications), and others like X2 (e.g., handover procedures).
Data Capturing
TravelHawk Pro is the ideal instrument for telecom and IT professionals needing a reliable, high-performance capture and data-processing unit for 1 Gbit/s and 10 Gbit/s Ethernet networks.
TravelHawk Pro supports full-line-rate packet filtering and processing—even with multiple 10 Gbit/s Ethernet interfaces—regardless of packet size. With a peak recording speed of up to 10 Gbit/s, this portable device provides a reliable platform for different IP network operations.
Data is captured in an open-standard, nanosecond PCAP format so that it can be used by any data-processing tool. Data capturing is also a standard feature of TravelHawk Pro.
LTE Signaling Statistics
Network level problems, both in the user plane and the LTE signaling interfaces, can be seen from the statistical views, ensuring an easy troubleshooting view of failed sessions, which can be observed according to failure type or network element. From any KPI level, the user can drill down into the failure sessions themselves to determine whether they are caused by the same subscriber or the mobile type. A detailed protocol analysis of the session using the message sequence chart view is also possible. With one click, technicians will obtain the actionable information they need to identify the problem.
