Housing the FTB-88100NGE in EXFO’s FTB-2 platform provides the most compact 10M-to-100G field testing solution on the market and supports wide range of technologies, including legacy TDM and new packet-based services. This EXFO innovation sets a new benchmark: 10M-to-100G Ethernet, OTU1 to OTU4 (including standard and overclocked rates), OC-1/STM-0 to OC-768/STM-256—all in one compact, powerful solution. Furthermore, both the FTB- 88100NGE and the FTB-88100G are EXFO Connect-ready, which means that both technicians and managers can reap the benefits of EXFO’s FTB cloud-based services.

Deploying networks using CFP transceivers presents a set of challenges that did not exist with previous generations of Ethernet. Any CFP-based 100G Ethernet deployment will commonly use a WDM interface. This, in itself, is enough to require a new set of skills and tools to support network deployments. When deploying networks that use CFP transceivers, challenges arise where there were none in previous Ethernet generations

All across the world, the number of 100G network deployments is growing. Mostly done in the network service providers’ core network, the objective of these deployments is either to add capacity or aggregate multiple existing 10G services. In such scenarios, the lineside uses coherent 100 Gbit/s transmission to reduce the
signaling rate while maintaining the 100G data rate. This is achieved using advanced modulation techniques, like DP-QPSK, on channels within the DWDM network.
