An overview of assessing Ethernet-based business services from turn-up testing to baselining, troubleshooting, monitoring and SLA conformance, including issues such as multiservices, migration to packet-based, support for legacy TDM-based services over packet architecture, as well as the lack of access to high-bandwidth.

Bruno Giguère, Advisor, CTO Office—Transport and Datacom Business Unit, was nominated Member of Technical Staff for EXFO in 2006. In this role, Bruno is instrumental in analyzing market dynamics and implementing corresponding technical strategies for the Transport and Datacom product portfolio, furthermore, he is EXFO’s representative at the Metro Ethernet Forum.
Prior to this nomination, Bruno held Product Management and System Engineering positions both at EXFO and Avantas Networks. He has also authored or co-authored numerous application notes, magazine articles and technology reference guides. Bruno holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the École de technologie supérieure in Montréal.
