The Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) Program

The Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) Program, provides $42.45 billion in federal funding to expand high-speed internet access by funding planning, infrastructure deployment and adoption programs across the USA.

States will be receiving funds and awarding them to municipal entities to build fiber-optic networks and deliver broadband access. Given the governmental nature of the funding, recipients will also have to test and demonstrate that they are effectively delivering the expected broadband services to subscribers. The need for transparency means a need for reliable and recognized testing solutions that can troubleshoot efficiently in the field while providing visibility into network quality and field project progress.
