This course gives an overview of general dispersion phenomena occurring in fiber-optic communications, as well as the problems caused specifically by CD. Attendees will learn how to differentiate various types of fiber and how to compensate for CD. The course also describes the internal workings of EXFO’s CD analyzer and explains how to test and interpret the results obtained with the instrument.
