The Senior Manager – Service Assurance Marketing is responsible for development and implementation of global marketing plans and programs for EXFO’s Service Assurance portfolio. Responsibilities entail effective positioning of the Service Assurance portfolio to global markets to ensure operators are knowledgeable of the benefits and differentiation of our market-leading solutions, and take full advantage from them as they become available. Overall responsibility also includes ensuring that product and marketing efforts support the company's overall strategy and goals. This position reports to the VP Service Assurance Division.
The Senior Manager – Service Assurance Marketing is responsible for the following:
- Marketing Planning: Develop a complete marketing plan for EXFO’s Service Assurance portfolio, matched to marketplace requirements for all regions globally, by country/product to identify sales opportunities. This includes market segmentation, SWOT analysis, customer benefits analysis, and definition of 4 P’s (product, price, place, promotion) in conjunction with the Product Management team, as well as definition of success metrics.
- Marketing communications: Raise the visibility of EXFO in the Service Assurance portfolio as a credible, high value player in this market segment. Development of key, impactful messaging reflecting portfolio differentiation to address the different target audiences. Creation of the right marketing mix to maximize business results: webinars, e-marketing, collaterals, web content, trade shows, road shows, sales meetings, demos, AR/PR activities, leveraging the corporate Marketing resources for a consistent, high quality customer experience. Identification, prioritization and assignment of resources to achieve this.
- Marketing programs: Direct the establishment of marketing program priorities and implementation of these in order to optimize the divisional revenue/market share goals with expense/margin objectives for the Service Assurance portfolio.
- Create Business Case and Business Presentation Sales tools which can be used by the EXFO sales force and distribution channels to educate and promote the solutions values for the Service Assurance applications.
- Manage and coach subordinates to develop a professional marketing skills inventory to enable them to both meet current objectives and advance their personal career objectives.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Solid background in Marketing: market segmentation, customer benefits orientation, marketing communications, with proven track record in delivering impactful results
- Service Assurance, Performance Management and/or B/OSS sector knowledge
- Strong CxO and customer interfacing skills
- Established knowledge of and experience with the network service providers market, globally
- Direct sales and channel management process understanding

ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred)
Pertinent experience: minimum of 10 years experience in Marketing Communications and Product Management
Language requirements: English written and spoken.
Travel: Requires domestic and international travel
