This individual will lead an effort to re-architect the BrixWorx user interface to provide a dynamic, highly interactive experience for users. The individual will be responsible for defining development practices, toolkits, and methodologies for JavaScript development by the UI team. The individual will also design and implement major UI components as part of the product re-design.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

JavaScript

Must have a superior understanding of modern Javascript development techniques with asynchronous server request technology.

Other Web Technologies

Must have a strong knowledge of web technologies in general, including HTML, CSS, XML, JSON, etc. in addition to Javascript.

Server Programming

Must have experience in server-side programming as well. Ideally, the candidate will have development experience in Perl, PHP or Python.

Database

Practical relational database experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND APTITUDES

• Excellent design skills;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Ability to guide others in building JavaScript proficiency.

ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Education: BS, Computer Science or equivalent degree

Pertinent experience:  Minimum 10 years software development experience

Language requirements: English written and spoken.
