IPTV is a real time service broadcasted over a complex IP network. Any impairment on this network can affect the video and/or audio component of a digital TV channel and directly impact the customer’s experience. Thus the signal quality across the IPTV network must be routinely tested or monitored to minimize and quickly resolve potential threats to service revenue and to maintain overall QoS over time.
