TCP Testing: Measuring True Customer Experience

21
May

11 a.m. EDT

Service-level agreements (SLA) for Ethernet services such as business Ethernet and mobile backhaul are typically defined at layer 2. However, the end-customer experience is often also affected by what goes on at higher layers such as TCP. This often creates conflict between the service provider and its customers.

There’s been a lot of misunderstanding about the necessity and methods of testing network performance at the TCP layer in order to validate true customer experience. New testing recommendations such as RFC 6349 have been introduced as a way to efficiently test and troubleshoot services at the TCP layer. In this webinar, we will take a look at how customer experience can be affected by TCP performance. We will also demystify the concept of TCP testing, and demonstrate how you can resolve conflicts faster using the right testing procedure, which includes but is not limited to, RFC 6349.
