Packing recommendations

It is important to specify your RMA number in the reference box on the courier waybill of your selected freight carrier and to include a copy of the RMA confirmation sheet in the box.

Please make sure to ship what is listed on your RMA confirmation. For example, if you ship modules along with a platform, all the modules must be listed on your RMA confirmation.

Please pack the equipment properly; EXFO will not be held responsible for damaged equipment due to inadequate packaging. If you are unsure, ask one of our Technical Support Representatives about packing recommendations.

Shipping to EXFO

Use your selected carrier.  Note that collect shipments to our location will be refused unless a collect shipment was pre-authorized by EXFO.

If appointed service center is located outside your country, EXFO Customer Service can assist you with export questions. Shipping instructions are also provided along with your RMA document.

We can also track your shipment for you. In order for our Traffic & Customs Department to do so, please confirm the tracking number as well as the RMA number by e-mail at tracking@exfo.com or by fax at +1 418 683-7447. Please indicate Return for Service in your subject line.

Return from EXFO

Within the basic warranty period, return-to-customer shipping cost will be paid by EXFO for products under warranty.

After the basic warranty period expired, the customer shall assume all shipping charges, so please make sure to provide us with your shipping instructions. In the absence of shipping instructions, EXFO will usually prepay and add the freight charges, always choosing the most cost-effective shipping method.
