New Additions to the EXFO Family!
A new year is upon us, and we are pleased to say that EXFO
is beginning 2006 with great enthusiasm and exciting news. As
you may already know, over the past two weeks, we announced
several important events, which we believe will considerably
enhance our product line and our corporation.
- The first is our upcoming acquisition of Consultronics, a
multinational company that offers products for testing, analyzing
and troubleshooting the access network. Consultronics brings
a valuable and diversified product portfolio for testing
crucial next-generation technologies, such as DSL (ADSL 2/2+
and VDSL), IPTV (Internet Protocol TV), VoIP (Voice-over-Internet
Protocol) and low-cost Gigabit Ethernet analysis.
This new addition therefore allows us to broaden the scope
of our product line to include copper-based network testing,
enabling us to become more active in the access network market
and provide our customers with complete test solutions for
their triple-play FTTx deployments
- The second is the launch of our new FTB-200 platform, a compact,
multilayer test platform, built for today's supertech. The
unit can house one or two modules, allowing the utmost portability
and test flexibility for metro/access and FTTx network applications.
- And, last but not least, is the introduction of the latest
product in our line of FTTx network testers, the AXS-100
Access OTDR, designed specifically for in-service testing
of access networks.
With this special edition, we wish to share with you—our
valued customers and partners—the importance of these new additions
and how you can benefit from the combined product offering that
we are building for you.
